| These
instructions are intended to help our customers who
are running Microsoft Outlook 2002 to configure their
software to be able to use their Email with us. |
1) Open Outlook 2002
2) From the drop-down menus across the top of the screen,
select Tools - Email Accounts

3) Choose Add a new email account, and then hit next.

4) Choose POP3 for the type of mail server and then click
next.

5) Type your name as you want people to see it in their
"FROM" area when they receive your message, in
the Your Name: field. You do not have to put your full name
-- you can use an alias or any nickname you would like to
use.
6) Type your email address in the E-mail Address: field,
this is your username with "@yourdomain.com" on
the end, e.g. martha@yourdomain.com.
7) In the Incoming mail server (POP3): field type
"mail.YOURDOMAIN.com". (replace YOURDOMAIN with
your actual domain name :-)
8) In the Outgoing mail server (SMTP): field type
the SMTP server for YOUR ISP. If you do not know what this
is, you will need to contact your
Internet Service Provider and ask them "What is the
SMTP server that I need to use for my email?" ...or,
go to their website and search their support area for this
setting. (you may also use "mail.yourdomain.com"
although it will not always work, as your ISP may be blocking
the ports required.
9) In the User Name: field type your username that
was given to you by SKL or by your domain administrator
to login to your email account. (It is your actual email
address name).
(Please remember this is case sensitive so if your username
is all lower case you must type it that way.)
10) In the Password: field please enter your password.
11) Make sure that Log on using Secure Password Authentication
(SPA) is NOT checked.
12) Click on Next once you have completed these 7
steps above.

13) A new window will open with additional settings. Under
the GENERAL tab...enter a name for your e-mail account.
Usually this would be your email address "username@YOURDOMAIN.com".
Also, fill in the reply email account with your ACTUAL email
address.

14) You will not need to make changes to the outgoing server
tab OR the advanced tab. However, under the connection tab
you may need to select the option "Connect using
a modem" if you use a dialup account to access
the Internet. Once you have finished, click the OK button
to close the window.

15) The next step is to TEST the accounts settings. Click
the button to "Test Account Settings".
This will do a simple test to make sure the program can
connect to the server, so make sure you are on the Internet
BEFORE doing this.
Then, click next.

Click the FINISH button and you will have completed
the setup.

You are now ready to send and receive email using Outlook
2002. For program function and features, consult your Outlook
2002 "Help" files, or contact Microsoft Technical
